What is in a Blackboard?
Blackboards date back to the 1800s. They may be seen as an old-fashioned teaching tool, but their usefulness remains undebated, and they are still being used in classrooms to date, more than 2 centuries since its debut. It is undeniably because the blackboard is a reliable and efficient teaching tool.

Similarly, Blackboard Learning Centre (BBLC) promises a well-grounded and authentic teaching style, focusing on the basics that are vital to success in academia and future careers that are often neglected. Here at BBLC, we want to reintroduce these boring basics, with an injection of life and inspiration. Through which, we hope that our students not only find success in academia but are also inspired to pursue their passions and aspirations in the future.

Mr Kuek
Mr Kuek has vast knowledge, skills, and experience when it comes to understanding the ever changing demands by employers. To be equipped for tomorrow's workforce, he believes there are skill sets and know-hows that must be cultivated during schooling days. Many of his students went on to top universities in the U.K. and U.S.
​
In addition, he is also involved in adjunct teaching at local and international schools. This provided him a competitive edge to stay current with changes in the education syllabus. Outside of teaching, Mr Kuek serves as a consultant to various finance, food and beverage and healthcare entities.
​
​On a personal level, Mr Kuek is known among his students for being hilarious and creative in using unconventional teaching methods. Apart from providing academic support, he also provides emotional support to his students.
Timothy Lim
Mr Timothy is no stranger to the Mathematics Tuition scene. He has come a long way since his humble beginning - from home to home tuition to becoming an established & respected educator.
​
Having 12 years of tutoring experience under his belt, he has tutored over 550 students, championing the cause of "Mathematics Simplified". Students who joined his Champions Program saw a 2-grade jump within 6 months.
More than just improvements in grades, Mr Timothy emphasizes the importance of textbook fundamental concepts, and their applications to real life situations.

On a personal level, Mr Timothy is a driven individual who seeks growth. To better equip himself in serving the needs of his students, he is currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Mathematics at the National University of Singapore.
